History

Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant got its start in 1985, deep in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. In 1992, Lucy’s packed up its boards and moved to the Big Easy, where it’s been a mainstay of New Orleans’ nightlife ever since. In 2016, Lucy’s opened in Key West, Florida, followed by Oranjestad, Aruba in 2018, Biloxi, MS in 2019, and Foley, AL in 2020.

The Secret Life

Lucy’s was founded to honor the culture that surfers were raised on – what we’ve come to call The Secret Life. It’s a lifestyle that emphasizes no matter how far you are from the nearest reef break, or how lost you may find yourself in the concrete canyons of your daily lives, great food, killer drinks, and amazing service make for incredible memories. At Lucy’s, that’s what we do best. We wake up every day to celebrate the easy attitude found only the sandy fringes of civilization, where the only thing that matters is having a good time.
